sWheat Scoop® Helps Save Felines Through Extended Partnership with Best Friends Animal Society
Shelters to receive 240,000-pound litter donation and financial support
sWheat Scoop® is pleased to announce an extended partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, a national animal welfare organization dedicated to preventing the killing of cats and dogs across all of America’s shelters. In addition to a 240,000-pound litter donation for Best Friends to use in partner shelters, sWheat Scoop will also provide financial support.
This donation will help ensure Mother Nature’s cat litter provides cats and kittens with a healthy and ‘sWheat life’ until they are adopted into their forever homes.
“When we visit the Best Friends Animal Society adoption centers we are humbled by the work that they do and it inspired us to do more,” says Alyssa Hammerschmidt, Director of Marketing at sWheat Scoop. “Best Friends is working towards making the country No Kill by 2025, and we wanted to lend a hand to as many paws as possible with our donations. It’s important to us that we not only help provide the best environment we can for the cats they care for until they find their forever homes, but that we also help raise awareness and inspire action in others to help save them all.”
“It is estimated that 3 million cats enter national shelters each year,” says Eric Rayvid, director of public relations for Best Friends Animal Society. “This generous donation from sWheat Scoop will help us take care of the pets that are cared for in Best Friends adoption centers, and the monetary donation will help us to achieve our mission to Save Them All.”
